It’s the start of an exciting season! New draft picks, father-son duos; this season is looking good so far, and it seems like it will only get better from here.
Let’s review the 2025 NBA draft. New and rising stars have officially entered the NBA, and with their stats, they will add a lot of talent to the sport. Zaccharie Risacher was the number one draft pick of this year. Chosen by the Atlanta Hawks, Risacher is a 6’9 prodigy from France. At only 19, he is currently a forward for the Hawks and is averaging about 12 points per game. Originally from France, he is fitting into Atlanta respectively, and is projected for a very bright future in the NBA.
We ALL know who LeBron James is. Former Cavalier, amazing forward for the Lakers, and has four rings. He is currently the oldest player in the NBA, coming in at 39 years old. Over previous years, fans have wondered why he has not yet retired. He responded by saying he wants to play at least one season with his son, Bronny James, before he retires. Well, this season this finally happened! Well..at least for a few games it did. Bronny James, son of LeBron James, is a graduate from USC, and was the 55th pick of the 2024 draft. Joining his dad on the Lakers, he played a total of 5 games before being moved to the G-league. In the opening game for the Lakers on October 22nd, Bronny scored a total of 0 points. Fans responded to this by saying he was “not ready,” for the big leagues, and that he was only drafted because of his dad. So, as a result, when the team returned to LA, he was moved to the South Bay Lakers.
The NBA is off to a great and very interesting start this year, and the world is excited to see how this season unfolds!
