Emily travels back and forth from Venice to France throughout the season. The Paris scenes include her old apartment area, her bakery shops and colleges, which the fans love. Emily is juggling two worlds in this season. In Rome, Emily works with a luxurious brand called Maratori, run by Marcello’s family. She puts a lot of effort into making the office successful and impressing clients. Emily organizes a big perfume launch event for Maratori but a livestream goes viral in a way she didn’t expect causing the small town of Solitano to become a tourist attraction. Emily and Marcello, who is her main love interest, go through lots of ups and downs this season. They break up twice due to misunderstandings, trust issues, and different life goals. In the final episode Marcello seems to want Emily to settle down with him in Solitano but she is not ready to leave her life in Paris. She turns him away which ends their relationship once again. Emily’s long term love interest Gabriel is featured in the beginning of the season but steps away once he sees Marcello. Gabriel accepts a job as a private chef on a yacht and learns that Emily is once again single. He sends a postcard inviting her out to Greece. Meanwhile, Mindy, Emily’s best friend is on and off with Alfie and Nico. In Venice, Nico proposes to Mindy with a ring and she says yes!
