No matter if you like Taylor Swift or not, the impact she has had on the world this year has been incredible. She started a nationwide tour that’s rapidly turning into a worldwide tour, she re-released two albums, came out with a movie, and more. She continuously shocks people with how much she has done to the music industry.  

Taylor Swift has been the biggest celebrity this year. First, she started her Eras Tour, which is a 3-hour long tour consisting of 17 years of her music. This tour made an insane 5.7 billion dollars. While on her tour, she re-released two more “Taylor’s Version” albums. The first one to come out was Speak Now, and most recent was 1989. 

Because of how successful this tour was, she decided to release a movie that showcases her tour completely. During one of her last tours she did a recording of the entire concert. On October 12th, a day before the original release date, the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie was released. It was supposed to come out on her lucky day, Friday the 13th, but she surprised the world by releasing the movie one day early with a huge premiere. 

This worldwide “tour” was created for people to feel like they were in the stadium with her. Now, fans get to watch her perform the show in comfortable seats with food. The movie theaters are selling Eras Tour popcorn buckets and matching cups for you to bring into the theater, as well as a mini poster to take home. The atmosphere of the theater is great: people stand, dance, and sing along with the people in the crowd. Everyone who attends the show automatically has a huge bond, as they take pictures and trade bracelets.  

However, some “Swifty’s” were upset at some of the song choices. Lots of people wanted her to sing “Wildest Dreams” and “Cardigan” as opposed to singing lots of songs from the album Midnights. But overall, the Eras Tour movie was very emotional yet extremely well done. So far, the movie has made Taylor Swift an official billionaire and brought in a total gross of $123.5 million within 3 days of coming out. This definitely shows how many people love and respect Taylor Swift. She has come a long way to becoming one of the biggest singer-songwriters in the world.
