The after-glow of homecoming illuminated the faces of my fellow Warren Township students the Monday following that eventful weekend. Small smiles retelling the events of their night. Big smiles remembering that one couple minutes before the dance ended. And lots of praise towards the DJ.
Out of all my years attending Hoco, this year was by far the best. No after party, nor late night dinner at Denny’s was needed. Exhaustion seeped in after an hour of dancing, laughing and evading dance trains.
I was skeptical about this year’s dance. Would it be good? Would the music actually be danceable? Would the food trucks sell tasty food unlike some in the past?
It was a yes to all. So my answer to the question of canceling Warren Homecoming is a resounding NO.
I think many other students would agree. I spoke with one friend about his night, and he let out a heavy sigh. Laying his head on his arms he murmured, “I wish I could go back.”
Props to Mrs. Desiron and our student council and all the other hands that took part in preparing what has to have been the best Hoco since Covid.
