Are you interested in seeing the great talent of your fellow students? The awe-inspiring artwork, tear-jerking literature, and head-banging music? Then you have to read the 2023-2024 Creations Magazines. Creations Magazine is a digital magazine that showcases the many talents of our very own Warren students. Last year, Creations published two separate magazines: one for each semester. Our fall edition features some incredible pieces which you can see here! Our spring edition was (dare I say) even better! The theme was Sense
Our artists were spot on with their own portrayal of this theme. You can view the spring edition here!
To give you a sneak peek of some art from last year’s magazines, the feature to the right is called Can Ventura – Llivia Spain which is a graphite drawing of a building called Can Ventura, drawn by the incredibly talented Emily Ullrich. Another astounding piece Creeplox by Giancardo Milan, which you may have seen on some of our posters hanging around the school. It depicts a person whose face is concealed by a flower but you can still see a single tear rolling down the cheek of the person. To see more dazzling works like these by your peers click here to view three years of Creations magazines.
This year, Creations is publishing one magazine instead of two. The theme is Imagination, so start thinking of what you want to submit. If you’d like to submit, click here! We are looking for any art, literature, music, or film submissions so if you want to be able to say that you have been published in a magazine, submit your work. We love to see all of your talents. Old and new works can be submitted. AND, if you submit before Nov 30th you will be entered for a chance to win $25! So submit sooner rather than later. But the deadline to submit is February 28th, and the magazine will be out May 3rd.
Creations is also hosting Open Mic Night on Friday October 25th at the Warren Township Center at 7pm. If you have a talent in singing, music, dancing, comedy, poetry, or anything else, sign up to perform here! Performers must arrive by 5pm to set up. The entry fee is $5, but be sure to bring some extra cash to buy concessions and sweets from our bake sale made by our very own staff members! All the money will go toward having physical copies of the magazine for purchase instead of only a digital one. Hope to see you there!
