Encore Performance of “And Then They Came For Me” To Support Pittsburgh Victims

Jessica Lim, Chief Editor

Ms. Janice Zimmerman, Director of our Fall Dinner Theatre program would like students to be aware of a very special event.
“This Sunday, November 4, the WTHS Theater Department will be performing once more the play And Then They Came For Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank. The performance ran last weekend, but due to the tragic event in Pittsburgh, the cast and crew would like to use the encore performance as a tribute to the victims and use the proceeds from the show to support the victims’ families. 100% of the proceeds raised will be sent directly to the Synagogue and the families of the victims.

The show will start at 2:00 p.m. in the Black Box Theatre at the Almond Campus, 34090 N. Almond Road, Gurnee. In lieu of tickets, the performers are asking for free-will donations that will be sent to the Tree of Life Synagogue and the victims’ families.

Please consider attending this powerful show and support the Warren Theater Department so they can help the victims’ families. Thank you to everyone for your support for this show. It’s a powerful message about hate, persecution, perseverance, and healing.”
