On January 29th, the WTHS Girls basketball team celebrated six graduating seniors, Jelly Amezquita, Kiki Wright, Madeline Venisik, Yanni Pettis, Yasmin Lenzi, and Addy Owiny. The girls played Waukegan for their senior night. The game started with heartfelt messages to the six seniors from their teammates, who were able to tell the seniors how much playing with them over the years have meant to them. The Blue Devils fought hard for the first half, ending the second quarter only down by five points. Even though the team brought energy both to the court and the bench, unfortunately the Blue Devils were not able to pull through with a win.

Despite the hard loss, the girls team still was able to have a fun night celebrating the seniors. Team moms Lauri Lenzi and Angie Hill worked incredibly hard to decorate and make the night special for the six seniors. The athletic department and basketball program thanks the seniors for their hard work and dedication over the past four years!
