On Sunday, September 29th of 2024 the last chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen was released. After 6 years, chapter 271 finally released ending the intense story of the sorcerers.

Summary of Chapter 270
Megumi is at his sister’s grave with Shoko. Utahime, Yoshinobu, and Akari talk about Tengen’s barrier; but for now, Sukuna’s body is holding it. Maki talks to some people about the Culling games. Takaba and someone who is likely Kenjaku are living their lives, and Takaba is doing comedy again. Megumi apologizes to Angel about what Sukuna did to her while in Megumi’s body; Angel is in love with Megumi. The gang goes on a mission to find a curse user who is attacking a couple.

Summary of Chapter 271
The gang strategies on how to catch the curse user, Megumi rushes a couple of bystanders to go into a tall building because the curse user’s ability can only reach a certain radius. Nobora and Yuji find the curse user, but they fail in catching him, then Megumi using his Divine dog catches the curse user, sending him to jail. Before they do though, they find out the curse user had a crush on the girl, and he wanted to find a way to get with her. Yuji gives the guy a pep talk before he goes to jail. In a flashback, Gojo and Yuji have a discussion about how he hopes Yuji carries on his dream for the Jujutsu World. Yuji gets worried about why Gojo is acting weird, but Gojo says he’s counting on Yuji. Sukuna and Mahito meet in the afterlife where they chat. Mahito says Sukuna only wanted revenge on those who called him an abomination. Sukuna says it was his Nature which was the only way of life he knew; but then, he says he is wrong because he could’ve chosen a different path in life (Love) but decided on one of revenge because of fear of his curse. Sukuna says if given another chance, he would change. Mahito is angered by this, yelling at Sukuna as Sukuna walks away with Uraume. Sukuna’s last finger is sealed.

What happens after the story?
During the last few chapters, there has been speculation about a Clan war going on between the Kamo Clan, Zenin Clan, and Gojo Clan. With the Zenin clan demolished and Saturo Gojo deceased, tensions have been rising between the Kamo and Gojo clan. With this and the New Shadow Style School opening, could a Jujutsu Kaisen sequel be in talks? At this moment nothing has been announced but we could hope for one soon.
