Kelly Bishop, a beloved actor and dancer, has written a book called “The Third Gilmore Girl”. In this book she talks through her life as a line dancer, her first marriage to a gambling addict, her role in dirty dancing, and as Emily Gilmore in “Gilmore Girls”. She is an incredible woman with stories to tell, which she advertised on her book tour. She hit places like New York where those attendees got the treat of seeing Lauen Graham there too and Naperville Illinois. Listening to her talk you can truly get a sense of the kind of person she is. Someone who is reserved, bubbly, hilarious, and loves spending time with her dog. From living on Gilmore Girls to hearing her voice was truly the coolest experience. Whenever you think of celebrities or people on your shows you don’t think of them being real, but Kelly has a way about her that even if she’s on stage you can get a sense that she is the most down-to-earth type of person. She talked about her life and how she enjoys being reserved and living normally. Kelly isn’t on social media to the point that she didn’t even know there was a thing about which Rory’s boyfriend was better. She’s incredibly humble and even said she’s surprised about the amount of applause and turnout she gets. This book wraps you up with welcome and leaves you itching to turn each page. However, I will have to say the highlight of her stop in Naperville was hearing her say “the demure ick” in her lesson on slaying. (P.S. She is team Logan)
