Mr. Warren is Warren Township High School’s pageant show between male senior classmates brought to you by Warren’s very own Student Council. Multiple participants show off their potential through the group dance, individual talents, Q&A, and so much more, and are then judged on each section by our very own teachers and staff. There are three winners every show: Mr. Congeniality, Runner-up, and of course, Mr. Warren.
Not only is Mr. Warren a fun and friendly pageant show, but it’s also a fundraiser for I AM A GENTLEMAN, an organization that provides the funds for young men in the Chicago-land area to “engage, enrich, and empower young men for successful careers, healthy lifestyles, marketable skills, and well-balanced relationships” to make our local community better by helping young men of color. Any money that was raised throughout the week and during the show was then donated towards the organization. Thank you to all students who helped us donate– we managed to raise $3000 in funding!
This year, we had six wonderful participants: Ranveer Singh, Edmar De La Cruz, RJ James, Jehan Cabuay, Jonah Block, and Martin James Pasco (MJ). Each of them performed their very best throughout their given segments on the group dance, introductions of themselves, lip sync battles, individual talents, and Q&A given by our MCs Kate Bos and Kaitlyn McCaughey. Thank you to these girls as well for being our MCs for Mr. Warren!
Judging was done by our very own staff and teachers: Mrs. Cook, Mrs. Khayat, Dr. Kirk, Ms. Hutson, and Sra. Ruiz. They had just as much fun judging each of the students’ charisma on stage while deciding who should win which award– it was a very tough decision!
Our final winners were…
Mr Congeniality: RJ James
Runner Up: Ranveer Singh
Mr. Warren: Edmar De La Cruz.
Our crowning was accompanied by our Gurnee Queens: Little Miss Gurnee Madelyn Bugner, Junior Miss Gurnee McKlaine Bracewell, and Miss Gurnee Lexi Sapp. Congratulations to these girls as well for winning their awarded titles and thank you for helping us crown three wonderful men! We also thank our sponsors for helping us put together this fun event for students. Congratulations to everybody who performed– all six students were awarded for both participation and respective titles.
