Youthful Innocence

“Youthful Innocence” by Natacha Amy de la Breteque, is a photo that symbolizes the innocence of life’s beginning stages and shows the photographer’s enjoyment of taking photos of the fauna. At the time the photo was taken, which was last spring, Natacha and her parents encountered a young robin in their bushes. She became excited when she saw it and took a photo with her phone camera. Because the robin was very young at the time the photo was taken, Natacha stated that it was too young to fly and to be afraid of humans, which is where the title and symbolism come in.

Although it didn’t know to be scared of humans yet, Natacha had to be patient when finding the right angles before settling on what’s shown in the photo. “Youthful Innocence” became the title of the photo because of how young the robin was at the time the photo was taken. Before it learns the vital skills to survive, it remains a blank canvas for its mother to add what’s necessary to it, as well as anything else it encounters along its life ahead. Photos like this show what beautiful creations of life are to this world no matter how innocent or threatening it can be.
