One Question.
For years, one question has stirred turmoil among schools. One question has broken friend groups and thrust hatred into academic circles. What question can possess the power to cause such distress? You guessed it: What color is each subject? And today, we’re going to end this debate once and for all.
To make things less painful, we will restrict the colors to only red, yellow, blue, and green. We will also only be deciding on core classes too, middle school style (science instead of biology, LA instead of English, etc).
So, starting off with social studies. Because there has been a decent amount of war and bloodshed in human history, it is appropriate to have it be red. With science, green would fit because Earth is partially green, and most plants are green. Now, language arts and math is where it gets tricky. Personally, math is blue for me because blue is associated with sadness, and math is not something that makes me happy. That leaves us with language arts being yellow. Also most English teachers are peculiarly happy most of the time.
Since all good arguments need a rebuttal, I’ll concede: subjects like geography won’t quite be red, and I guess some could argue subjects like government or economics also aren’t either, but that’s it.
So there you have it, the only right way to color-code your subjects.
