Vaccine Panel Vote
The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices or ACIP met to discuss the new recommendations the new members will decide to recommend for the Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (MMRV) vaccines. They’ve decided to change their recommendation for the MMRV vaccine to have it recommended for ages above 4 years old. They are currently still deciding what to do with their recommendations for the COVID-19 vaccine and the Hepatitis-B vaccine. None of these decisions will be final until the CDC reviews and approves them, though they usually approve of them.
Charlie Kirk Assassination
Charlie Kirk a conservative activist speaking at a university, was killed. His suspected killer is currently 22-year- old Tyler Robinson. He is currently being held without bail and awaiting his trial after being turned in by family. There have been multiple messages recovered sent from Robinson incriminating him as well as DNA found with the weapon. Kirk’s death at this campus in front of many people, including his wife and kids, has sparked discussions on freedom of speech and the right to have your own opinion, whether or not those are being obstructed by an “I’m right and you’re wrong” mindset. Information on this case is still being uncovered.

While Britain and America have differing views on issues such as Gaza and Ukraine, the meeting seemed to all involved to have gone well. Trump on his exit from the country made a remark about Britain needing to call on more military to protect Britain’s borders from illegal immigration. Making another attempt to bring the military in on his perceived issue of illegal immigrants.
Military Build up in Caribbean
The U.S. has sent naval and air military vehicles to the Caribbean due to an order from President Trump to stop any Latin American drug cartels from entering America. He was warned by Venezuelan leader Marco Maduro that U.S. actions could be followed by an armed attack back. There have already been supposed drug cartel boats taken out by the U.S. including one that killed the 11 people on the boat.
