Get ready and get pumped, because Six Flags Great America 2024 is going to be striking! The Sky Striker is in town, and it’s going to be bringing its riders a whole new experience like never before: a giant pendulum ride, towering over the Revolution at a height of 172 feet and breaking the revolution’s speeds at 75 mph!
The Sky Striker is going to be opening in spring of 2024, where it will be opened in the County fair section. It will replace the Revolution, a smaller scale version of the Sky Striker, and the Dare Devil Dive, which is a skydiving, bungee jumping ride. The last days for these rides were in October of 2023, so sadly you won’t be seeing them again.
The new ride is a remodel of many other giant pendulum rides. For example, the Riddler’s Revenge that is located in Six Flags over Texas, and Joker Carnival of Chaos ride which is located in Six Flag Fiesta Texas. Though it is the same ride as those in other states, it’ll bring you a new experience like no other, refreshing the Six Flags experience!
The Sky Striker’s theme is in short, the roar of the sky, its lightning striking down from above! Having it be the colors of a cartoon-like lightning storm, with a bright blue and white color scheme, it shows the fury of the sky while giving you a fun experience!
John Krajnak, President of Six Flags Great America said, “Sky Striker will be the perfect complement to the record-breaking lineup of roller coasters and thrill attractions that our guests look forward to season after season.”
One of the many excited park visitors added, “Even though I’ve never been on the ride, I’m pumped up and ready for when it arrives!” Their statement truly expresses the many others who are excited for the opening of the ride!
Don’t be deterred by the rides opening day lines, (even though it might stretch to hours long) the wait will just further fuel your excitement and longing wait! Better use the bathroom before going!
