Hyper-realism is a genre of illustration where the artist attempts to draw what resembles a high-resolution photograph. This technique can take several years, even decades, to master. But one of our very own Warren students, Eshelle Zeeshan, has become quite the maestro. Inspired by the innocence of daisies Eshelle drew this piece to represent a new beginning, one with open eyes and a curiosity for the world. Though most definitely not the beginning of her journey to create hyper realistic pieces, Eshelle says with this piece she’s come one-step closer to honing her skill in creating photorealistic drawings. With the level of detail she captured in every pore, line, and intricacy of the human face, we can only wonder how she’ll improve further with her next piece. One secret she chose to share in making drawings as lifelike as these is that it’s made from 100% charcoal which allows for more finer details to be exemplified in the shading of the piece. Eshelle is definitely inspiring many other artists by publishing this piece in Creations Magazine this year.
