With the passing of another election we are left with a new name to run our country. To get a better understanding of the standings of the race on November 5th let’s take a look at the time stamped map as the votes rolled in at all hours of the night.
5:10 – Trump leading in Kentucky and Indiana
5:56 – Trump leading in Kentucky and Harris leading in Vermont
6:07 – Trump has Florida and Virginia with a total of 19 electoral votes, Harris has 3 electoral votes
6:12 – Trump has Georgia with 8% of votes counted, Florida and Virginia, there are 37 electoral vote currently at stake
6:26 – Trump has 23 electoral votes and is leading in Virginia (but it’s close), Florida, and Georgia, Harris has New Hampshire and 3 electoral votes, Ohio and North Carolina are too early to tell
6:34 – Harris has North Carolina and Virginia, Trump has Georgia
6:55 – Trump has Florida,Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, and Oklahoma with 90 electoral votes, Harris has Massachusetts, Maryland, and District of Columbia with 27 electoral votes
7:05 – Harris has Pennsylvania and Michigan
7:22 – Trump has 99 electoral votes and Harris has 27
7:36 – Trump has North Carolina and Georgia with 103 electoral votes, Harris has Michigan and Pennsylvania with 27 electoral votes
7:56 – Trump is seen to have Texas, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming in projections. Trump has North Carolina,Georgia, Virginia, and Ohio with 154 electoral votes, Harris has New hampshire and Michigan with 27 electoral votes
8:15 – Harris has Pennsylvania, Michigan, and New Hampshire with 27 electoral votes, Trump has North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, and Ohio with 154 electoral votes.
8:45 – Harris has Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, Trump has North Carolina, Mississippi, and Virginia
8:52 – Harris has Illinois, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Vermont with 81 electoral votes, Trump has Wyoming,Texas,South Dakota, Louisiana, South Carolina, FLorida, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Alabama, Montana, Arkansa, and North Dakota with 162 electoral votes
9:00 – Trump has Montana,Utah, North Carolina, Georgia, and Virgina, Harris has Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Nevadah is too early to tell.
The race continued into the early hours of the morning with the winner of the 270 electoral votes reaching that goal and the magic wall (map of the United States showing who won each state) showing us the following.
Trump had AK, TX, LA, MS, AL, FL, MS, AR, TN, SC, GA, NC, KY, OK, KS, MO, WV, OH, IN, MI, WI, NE, SD, ND, MT, ID, NV, and AZ
Harris had HI, IL, NM, CO, OR, WA, CA, MN, NY, MD, VA, VT, NH, DE, NJ, RI, and ME
This gave us the final results of Harris with 226 electoral votes and Trump with 312 electoral votes. Winning Trump the victory and electing him president in this election.
