Out of the many Christians in the world, the faith has their own dedicated group in Warren where students, Christian or not, can join and learn more about God. Every Wednesday from 9am till before the bell rings at 9:20, The Wave is a Christian club where people can spread the Gospel, build their relationship with Him, and praise Him out of love. Starting around 2004, The Wave is an unsponsored group founded by Christian students wanting to share fellowship and their faith with other like minded students. Although it’s still a small group today, The Wave still manages to strive and carry out their mission of spreading God’s Word and Love.
A typical meeting at The Wave starts and ends with a prayer as well as a devotional where members would read several Bible verses and apply them to their lives in order to love what God has given. Sometimes they would change up the schedule and do other activities or events such as attend Feed My Starving Children, which isn’t done out of flaunting off an achievement, but out of love. Having these attributes is what makes up the Christ-like behavior of The Wave as well as their goal in order to spread the Gospel.
There aren’t any requirements needed in order to join The Wave, one can simply join to see if it’s down the alley or not. Being a member myself, it’s such a welcoming experience to be at The Wave because it inspires me to study the Scriptures more often, making me overcome challenges along the way. Feel free to come on down to Room 123 to join devotionals where others can strengthen and encourage each other to include God in life.
