The Warren Township High School Marching Blue Devils took the field this year in their show titled “Ripples on the Water.” The show included music such as “Gymnopédie No. 1” by Eric Satie, “Shenandoah” by Frank Techeli, “La Moldau“ by Bedřich Smetana, “La Mer“ by Debussy, and “Carnival of the Animals: VII“ by Aquarium. This year, the band also debuted some much-needed updates to their uniforms by completely revamping their look. They had brand-new tops, hats, and capes to match the water-themed show.
This year, the band participated five different competitions, including the state championships at Illinois State University. They also went to competitions at Grayslake North, Victor J Andrew, Lincoln-Way East, and Naperville. The Marching Blue Devils won a total of 9 awards between 4 of the shows.
