Dear Santa,

Dear Santa,

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Winter is just upon us, and it’s so exciting. This time of year is always so much fun and a great time to spend with friends and family! There are many things to celebrate including Christmas, Hanukkah, New Years and Kwanzaa. With all of these holidays come different ways to celebrate. Although every holiday has great traditions, Christmas has traditions that tend to stand out more than the others. Christmas is a day everyone loves, but it’s the activities leading up to it everyone loves even more! Here’s some different ways to celebrate the countdown till Christmas.

Chicago is so beautifully decorated during the winter season. There’s a gigantic Christmas tree in the middle of Millenium park, there’s fairy lights all over the city, and of course there’s the ChristkindlMarket. The ChristkindlMarket is a lovely outdoor market for shopping, sipping hot cocoa, buying Christmas decorations, and spending time with your loved ones. Going to the ChristkindlMarket practically feels like going to the North Pole, it’s just so magical! There’s a specific feeling it gives you as you walk in for the first time, it’s a feeling one never forgets. Everyone deserves to experience the ChristkindlMarket once in their life!

Chicago doesn’t just have one holiday experience, it has many! Another amazing holiday experience in the city of Chicago is Navy Piers Winter Wonderfest. Navy Piers Winter Wonderfest is a great indoor option for those who get cold easily! It has so many different activities for people of different ages and interests. There’s Ice skating, for those who can balance of course, a merry go round, photo ops and an amazing ferris wheel to relax after a long day in the city. Who doesn’t love a good ol’ Winter Wonderfest?

Christmas lights are amazing on their own. But having Christmas lights all around you while set up in different patterns and shapes is a whole different experience! Driving through Christmas lights is such a cool and surreal activity, where it feels like you’ve been transported into a winter wonderland. While driving through this winter wonderland, you can also bond with your friends and family, which is a plus in any situation. Make sure to have the car heater turned up to keep everyone nice and toasty, but don’t miss the lights around you!

Give these activities a go and remember to enjoy the Holidays!
