Fall Activities

As the fall weather starts to settle in, the leaves follow, seasonal drinks come back, pumpkin pie is on the shelf’s and finally fun seasonal activities start to open back up. We all want to be outdoors and visit new places. Here are some fun things to keep in mind this fall:

To start off: Richardson’s Adventure Farm. Richardson’s have a ton of fun things to do. The adventure farm has the biggest corn maze, the best freshly made donuts, a zip line (if you are up to the adventure) and many other family friendly activities to enjoy. I personally have visited this popular autumn excursion in Fox Lake quite a few times. It is impossible to see everything so this farm is definitely something to keep in mind even if you’ve frequented this place in the past.

To follow that: Jacks Pumpkin Pop up. This place is located in Chicago. It’s Halloween decorations create a full immersion in the fall experience. It offers great picture opportunities and many other fun activities like carnival games, axe throwing and a corn maze. This pop up is another great place to visit with family and friends.

To end on a “scary” note: Dungeon of Doom. The haunted house Dungeon of Doom, located in Zion, is a frighteningly fun place to visit. This haunted house is known for its unique pathways and its creativity. Even if it might be something that you aren’t into, it’s worth a shot. From personal experience, I was initially scared but the actors and the staff were very reassuring that you were able to exit the haunted house at any time under any circumstance. With this said it’s totally worth a try as well as all the other fall activities listed above.

There are many other fun fall activities to do this year but these are just some of the best options I’ve come across this autumn. Give one of these a try and you’re sure to fall for fall.
