FBLA’s Community Service Committee

FBLAs+Community+Service+Committee

The FBLA Community Service Committee has been busy this month promoting their community service project. They are proud to host a drive to collect supplies for Keeping Families Covered. Located in Waukegan, Keeping Families Covered is a non-profit organization to help provide underprivileged families with the supplies they need for loved ones. We have hung up fliers throughout the Almond and O’Plaine campuses, and have brought donation boxes to both campuses’ main offices. Please consider donating this holiday season to lend a helping hand to local families in need! We have extended the deadline to collect donations after winter break. Keep an eye out for a fundraiser to raise money for Keeping Families Covered.

Additionally, the Community Service Committee has a goal of promoting healthy eating! We are in the progress of putting together a breakfast cookbook, with recipes from the Warren community! Please scan the QR code or use this link to submit your healthy breakfast recipes! The deadline to share your quick and easy recipes is Wednesday, January 31st.

Hi, my name is Shannon! I'm a Junior and this is my third year here at Scratch Paper. I'm a Committee Lead for FBLA and enjoy participating in Science Olympiad, Creations Magazine, and Student Council. Apart from school, I love to ski and ice skate, play guitar, and spend time with my friends and family. I hope to write more about students' insight and cover the vital perspectives of our school. Here's to a great year ahead!
