Insect Circlet
There are times where nature freaks us out and intimidates some of us. But there are others who believe there exists good in those society deems useless, scary, disgusting, etc, to which Jasiak demonstrates this belief in “Insect Circlet.” The piece made with gouache and ink was made to prove how bugs aren’t simply creepy excuses of life and easy cat food, but rather “beautiful intricate pieces of life and art” which were painted onto this earth. The artist Jasiak took his inspiration from having a similar goal but made elegant mandalas using real bugs instead of depictions of them.
