Lollapalooza Chicago
Every summer, thousands of music fans gather in downtown Chicago for one of the biggest, most exciting music festivals. Lollapalooza is held in Grant Park, and this four day music festival brings together top artists and rising stars and fans across the country for an unforgettable experience filled with music, art, and culture. Lollapalooza was founded in 1991 by musician Perry Farewell. Over the years, it evolved from being a traveling tour to a music festival, with its permanent location being in Grant Park. At its core, Lollapalooza is about music, but it’s also so much more. Over multiple stages, it showcases artists from all genres like pop, hiphop, rock, electric and indie. Beyond just the music, Lollapalozza includes interactive art exhibits, food from Chicago’s best local restaurants, merchandise booths, and activities. For 2026, Lollapalooza is expected to take place from Thursday, July 30 through Sunday, August 2, 2026, in Grant Park. Following its long standing tradition of being in late July to early
August. These dates are widely shared by festival planners but have not been officially announced yet. As of now, the official Lollapalooza 2026 lineup has not been released yet. Historically, Chicago Lollapalooza reveals its full lineup in mid March, and fans are eagerly waiting to see which artists will headline this year. There are three levels of tickets available: General Admission which includes access to the festival, VIP passes include dedicated viewing area and lounges, Platinum passes have premium experiences like front of stage viewing, exclusives, and more. Ticket demand is usually very high, especially for the full four day passes, so many fans sign up for early notifications and presale activities. Even without the official lineup, fans can look forward to diverse music, Chicago’s culinary culture, and lots of activities. As excitement for Lollapalooza 2026, anticipation is high for lineup announcements, ticket details, and return of summer’s biggest music weekend. With its blend of world wide genres, and Chicago food, Lollapalooza still stands as one of the most anticipated music festivals, and 2026 promises another spectacular event.
