Mr. Warren is a pageant show for male seniors that raises money for “I Am A Gentleman” through donations. During the show, 10 of our Warren Township High School Students: Adam Weihs, Billy Herod, John Mahnke, Allen Murans, Joel Payne, Colin Coyle, Anthony Habiba, Michael Munwan, Joe Mati, and Joel Corona competed for the titles of Mr. Warren, Mr. Congeniality, and Runner-Up. Our contestants performed in a lip-sync battle and showed off their talents, whether it was stand-up comedy, juggling, singing, or rapping. In the end, the Mr. Warren pageant raised $2,000 for charity. Thank you to our donors!
During Mr. Warren’s time, each contestant had the opportunity to show off a unique talent that entertained the crowd and highlighted their personalities, potentially lifting their final scores. Billy started the talent portion by singing “Sway” by Michael Bublé while dancing on a hoverboard, impressing the audience with his vocal skills and coordination. Adam and Joe brought the energy to the stage with a dance routine, getting the crowd cheering, starting off slow, then pumped up the energy. John M. added humor by attempting to juggle, keeping the audience laughing as he kept the balls in the air. Michael delivered a stand-up comedy routine filled with jokes that had everyone smiling, while Joel followed with a more relaxed sit-down comedy act that still managed to get plenty of laughs. Collin showcased his musical ability with a singing performance, and Anthony energized the room by rapping along to the Llama Llama Red Pajama book. Allen wrapped up the talent segment by drawing while interviewing the halftime show rapper CBUCK,
combining creativity and humor in a unique performance that stood out to the judges and audience. This year, Mr. Warren featured a halftime show from Warren’s very own, C Bucky. During this performance, C Bucky played 3 of his hit songs: CBUCKY, THAT’S MY NAME, and BLESSED.
Don’t worry, there isn’t just one winner. At the end of the night, the judges announced the winners of the three titles: Mr. Warren, Mr. Congeniality, and Runner-Up. Each award recognized different qualities shown by the contestants throughout the competition. Billy Herod was awarded Runner-Up for his strong performances and participation during the event. Allen Murans received the title of Mr. Congeniality, an award recognizing the c
ontestant who showed the most kindness, positivity, and support toward the other competitors. The highest title of the night, Mr. Warren, was awarded to Colin Coyle for his overall performance and stage presence throughout the pageant. As the winners were announced, the audience cheered in celebration of all the contestants and the successful event supporting “I Am A Gentleman.” At the end of the show, all 9 contestants dazzled the audience and brought the stage to life through their performances. Contestants Billy and Allen stated that they wanted to put themselves out there for their senior year and make new friends while doing it. Although he did not win an official award, Joel Corona will be clearly remembered by both his fellow contestants and the crowd. John, Anthony, and Joe all mentioned that he specifically inspired them, and the audience chanted his name before the award ceremony. Hearing from our winner, Colin Coyle, he claimed that he wanted to join due to being nominated by many teachers, and ended up falling in love with the show. Finally, he stated that he wants to be remembered as kind and caring as he lives up to the title of Mr. Warren.
